Review of Dororo
Spoiler Free Overall Impression: If you're lookings for a more morally complex version of demon slayer, this is the anime for you. This is a historical drama in its truest form with swords, political drama, and the supernatural. Personally, I don't believe this anime is one that will be well-remembered but I certainly believe that everyone should go watch it especially if you're into interested into historicals. Art: Tbh, theres nothing remarkable about the art that I can talk about. Unlike the art styles of the anime of today, *COUGH *COUGH demon slayer, the colors are toned down and the animation isn't crazy. It does haveits moments with the cinematography but thats about it.
Sound:
I love the first OP of the anime, highkey pissed when they changed it. Besides that, the rest of the music matches the setting and mood just fine and doesn't take away from the experience.
As for the VAs, they did a terrific job.
Story:
I'm happy to say that Dororo's story is one that has to be praised. It does an amazing job to keep up the drama in every episode (except one) without dragging anything out. The characters mesh together SOOOO well in order to create an authentic historical drama-action experience that few can rival.
Characters:
Closest comparison I can make with Dororo's character development is with that of Violet Evergarden. I loved it.
