7.4/10 The time travel trope is an incredibly difficult premise to execute, since every plot point can stumble you into plot hole hell. As a result of this, many stories become rather lackluster, and it serves as a time-waster. Now, I wouldn't say that this manga entirely falls into that category, but it's closer to that category than a masterpiece. To start with the bad, the MC doesn't feel like an MC. Okay, let me elaborate. The MC is forced into the story, and he's quite hard to like/sympathize with. His introduction felt like a pure pity party where he's not taking accountability, and the moment hegoes back in time, he's very assertive, not recognizing his faults. Though he does get a lot better later in the chapters, the early chapters were certainly rough.
With that, the plot seems all over the place, since there are some bits where the storyline/arc doesn't feel quite yet completed, and the next conflict is already introduced. This causes some rather anticlimactic endings where it would have severely benefited the manga if they capitalized on more fluff.
Of course, the lack of fluff also makes the romance a bit iffy. It's almost like there is no romance at all. However, I must say that when there are some very small bits of it, it is wholesome a nd cute because of how the FMC has been set up. Her backstory was a little forced, but she's a likable and cute character who does nothing but good for the story.
For a romance manga, it's a bit disappointing, and the writing isn't the greatest, but it's still somewhat entertaining. I made this review sound like I hated this manga more than I did, but it was pretty nice. I expect that after this current arc, there's going to be a lot more romance, so that'll make the story a lot more rewarding.
