This OVA reminded me of one of the most beautifully written storylines in Bleach, which is the death of Masaki Kurosaki. I know the Thousand Year Blood War anime arc has touched upon this and obviously gave us a lot more to the story. Even adding some twists to it that is very much relevant to Ichigo. I do think as someone who's first seen this, this OVA is amazing. A lot of chills and some comedic effect. The signature Bleach animation from the early 2000s just always gets me man. It's so crisp and iconic. More Tatsuki and Ichigo lore too which is intriguing butonly for Ichigo mainly. The Rukia and Ichigo relationship is so strong here that you'd be surprised they didn't end up together. To cap it off, the Isshin message at the end is a pretty impactful line and obviously determined the rest of Ichigo's character later down the line.
