Scissor Seven: Fragments of Memory · review
The fifth season of Scissor Seven: Fragments of Memory is notably more streamlined in story structure and takes its time with character and narrative development. Easily the best aspect of this addition has been the expressively experimental animation that capitalizes on the visual medium with unique perspectives, creative compositions, and bold stylistic choices. However, this particular entry falls short in the narrative execution and does not leave enough time to fulfill expectations. The themes surrounding memory, experiences, and self-acceptance were done well, but they conflicted with and overshadowed the promised confrontation and anticipated resolution. The ending left much to be desired without more conclusive episodes.
