This is a weird one. It is obviously not Frieren, but: 1. It's an actual fantasy anime. Not another isekai nor "VR fantasy". Just plain fantasy with some real-world contamination. 2. None of the characters are outright idiots. 3. It's not an adolescent yelling competition nor immature attempt to appear serious or edgy.4. While obviously a harem, ladies do not forget who they are and are not reduced to fawning over the protagonist.

5. All 4 characters are actually co-leads. There is a degree of personal development, if rushed, that doesn't feel forced.

So while somewhat predictable, it's also quite watchable and has its own weird magnetism.
