The quote "I just think it's neat" fits perfectly with this anime, I like to think of it as a neat trinket for the fans and a form of showing one of the stories for those who didn't get to play it. As a person that deeply loves the game and replays almost every year, there were some changes that I didn't like, others that I did like, but overall I don't think they affect the story too much, every event in general is played as it should and most of those changes happened to fit them better with the format. I'm just glad theynailed the final event, with the tears and the rain and everything. That's what I was afraid of the most since it is a very beautiful scene that really left an impression on me the first time I saw it on the game (and still gives me goosebumps to this day)

I think it's woth a watch, it's not even too long. But if the person really is hell bent on not seeing anything different from the source material and knows said material, it's better to just skip it
