As I have read the manga from the jump, I think that (Aside from maybe some scenes here or there being cut from the manga) this anime adaptation has been the best that it could have been, given that it's adapting a story about Rakugo. Part of why I think it works is because it talks about rakugo, both the background of the stories in the show and the art form itself, in a way that's meant to educate, without talking down to the audience. And they do so both through the actual story (like through the performances and puppet shows that happen after thecredits). Over all, I recommend if able to watch it.
