Yuusha to Yobareta Ato ni: Soshite Musou Otoko wa Kazoku wo Tsukuru · review
Heyo, Adding up some things in addition to Huang-Teizan. Its plain boring....The end. On a more serious note, it really is boring I would say it's a lousy concept taken from Ryoumin 0-nin Start no Henkyou Ryoushusama. The same strong hero sent to a remote region to find a wife there and having adopted children. It's more serious with better comedy, romance and involves actual progression. + Art is better in my opinion. Plot 5/10 It's simply copy cat stitched together with other mangas. The first chapter showed hope at chapter 26, i see it only spiraling downwards. Like Huang-Teizantold we have a broken MC but what Huang-Teizan forgot to tell you, mangakas are almost narrow mindedly moronic they like to stick broken people together and make them a "party" or a "family". Which wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't like plague in manga world, they do not mix all kinds of people they mix broken people with broken people and give us a story how broken people heal each other.....Yeah as if this helps in real world practice. We don't keep mentally ill people in wards for decades for that very same reason, sick people if surrounded by sick people never truly heal or return to our mundane world.
In any case comedy is quite OKAY, but nothing mind blowing. Romance is dead fish until author is "forced" to progress, because popularity is falling. Then there is action, which is probably one of the main points of this manga (sadly).
This plot is boring, overused full of cliches. It almost infuriates me when someone becomes "married" but there is no "plot" or why couldn't they make not adopted children but real children? It's mind boggling.
I know it's shounen but still, you can tailor it for shounen public not mislead them thinking that having dysfunctional, sexless marriage with adopted children is completely fine and something to aspire. I think mangakas don't realise that any literary work leaves a mark on their reader especially young ones.
Characters 6/10
We have a mix of broken MC's with comedy sketches. They are not bad but they are overused templates. MC is emotionless, stoic and powerful. FMC is quirky, bubbly and emotional. Children..........I forgot (read it 20minutes ago, i guess me forgetting them tells us more that few sentences). In short, characters will have 2 forms, BROKEN and REPAIRED.
Art 7/10
It's quirky. MC stands out, I get the feeling as if mangaka reused or copied backgrounds and some animals and characters while MC is made solely by one person whose only mission is to draw MC and MC stands out compared to background. It's as if an amateur drawing on everything else. Whilst background can be spectacular and some characters (females, yeah...) are drawn okay others especially MC is like a lousy attempt of drawing something.
Speech bubbles and panel placement up to standard.
Enjoyment 6/10
It was a mix of boredom coupled with some anticipation for something better. Chapters are short, what I wanted to see I didn't see, it is a carbon copy of other myriad of mangas with the same concept.
Overall 6/10
If you are new to this, please enjoy, it's not bad for newcomers but for hardy veterans with over 1000 mangas behind them, it might be too boring.
