Review of Tokyo Revengers
Tokyo Revengers, honestly, it's a bit of a letdown. I mean, seriously, what's up with Takemichi Hanagaki? He's supposed to be the main guy, but most of the time, he just comes off as this weak and ineffective character. It's like he's stuck in a perpetual state of self-pity, always crying and not really doing much that matters. I can't help but feel that his constant emotional breakdowns are just dragging the story down. And let's talk about the story itself - it's pretty superficial. I was expecting something deeper, you know? But instead, it feels like it's just scratching the surface. The plot needs moresubstance and complexity to keep the audience engaged.
But seriously, Takemichi is probably the worst main character I've ever come across. It's like he's got the brain of a child or something. I can't fathom how he's supposed to be leading the narrative. A main character should be someone you can root for, but with Takemichi, it's just frustrating to see him stumbling through the story without any real direction or purpose. Overall, Tokyo Revengers has so much potential, but it's just not living up to it, and that's disappointing.
