Review of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
I gave this a 10, because it’s not a perfect story… This is the little things you wish you could always be by your friends side to remember and talk about, even when they’re no longer there. This is regret for not having shared those times when when you just didn’t want to, and realizing how cherish able those moments would be in the future when you did. This isn’t an adventure epic or an action story, this is a story of life by the side of those you felt at home with, and finally being able to reflect on how everyone impacted you. This story isn’t superdeep it actually feels a little mundane, but isn’t that how you go through life? This is a story of someone who lived all of it, and the attempt to find it within themselves to actually feel it.
As calm as this show is, yes it made me cry, it made me laugh, it’s not over the top, it’s a fantasy, but damn it’s super relatable to how life just goes and the feelings and memories you can make with your friends.
