Review of Haikyu!! Movie: The Dumpster Battle

I refused to read the manga, so I could experience it fully live. There was quite a difference from it being in episodes. It lost the suspense you would get from moving on from episode to episode. Despite the movie being only 85 minutes, a great amount of it was flashbacks. The moments leading up to the match are significant, but it made the match itself very predictable. When it got to the end of the movie, it was a bit disappointing. It may or may not have been intentional, but the ending felt unresolved and cut short. I wish there were more events andaftermath near the end to leave us more concluded and satisfied.
