This season is very special, and it made Kaguya-Sama stand even firmer as both my top one romance and top one comedic anime. Ever since Season 1, I always find myself laughing several times every episode. But more than that, ever since the first episode, the anime has been building up the characters and the overall story in a very clever manner. Several things about each character are shown without need for exposition, by using simple conversations or even better, using jokes. That makes things much easier to get. As a result, the story is able to develop itself without a need for too many serious scenes. Not that they don't exist, and I'm not implying they shouldn't happen, but as a comedy it's good that it mostly keeps a lighthearted tone.

The story present in season 3 is a result of a lot of progress over the last two seasons. They both developed the characters enough and also provided the viewers just enough information for us to be able to keep up with everything without feeling lost, and also without losing momentum.

I highly recommend this season, and this anime as a whole. It's pretty much the only romantic comedy I actually like, and it can function well in whatever mood the story is in.
