Nights with a Cat · review
Do you like Simon's Cat? Are you a fan of silly feline nonsense? Have you ever just wanted to watch a bunch of shorts about some rather relatable pet-owner experiences? If you said yes to any (or, indeed, all) of these, then congrats: Yoru wa Neko to Issho (A.K.A. Nights with a Cat) is for you! This is a series about a man, his sister, and the PEAK CAT nonsense they deal with. It's fun and light entertainment meant to showcase little snippets of their life with Kyuruga, a snorfling grey tomcat, and I think it does so quite well: the show's comedic timing ison point, and as someone who utterly adores cats, the series holds a lot of accuracy to our daily interactions with the fuzzballs.
Obviously, this isn't the type of series one should watch when searching for drama or intrigue; instead, the episodes are silly and soothing, making me laugh and smile as I watch. If this sounds like something you would enjoy, then you'll probably get a kick out of it; if not, then it's best to move along.
