Review of Attack on Titan: Final Season - The Final Chapters

Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season - Kanketsu-hen (2023) Part 1 was an epic setup for what was part 2 released on my birthday no less which was interesting for me to enjoy. I personally think this was a great way to finish the series, you had some epic moments that were well carried out and the ending clips during the credits were fantastic for closing any extra loops you may have been thinking about. In the end, the fighting like in real life won't stop until there is only 1 left then it will repeat again. I love the tree scene especially as it closedoff. Not a spoiler just the truth. Mikasa always looked best with long hair change my mind.

The show continues right to the very end including the absolute finish of the series. Don't expect this to come back in any form at all because I honestly don't think it needs to. The show from the beginning has been adapted by many people, in different looks, and well, this was a fitting final form. I think based on how intense it is from action to emotion if this had come out 10 years ago in its finale maybe it wouldn't have been as great.

The art form for this specifically is gorgeous, it honestly is a very high level of animation being used here. Whilst animation isn't everything it most certainly will age superbly.

The sound was done right, emotional, and powerful, and the soundtrack was with new and old favorites. My home cinema sound felt awesome whilst hearing this. This would have suited a cinema so well.

The characters by this point are so well known and yet this is such a deep thing, if you hadn't read the manga you should have been shocked with the revelations, even though I had read it I was still in awe of some of the scenes and outcomes.

In the end, this is the end of an era. Hopefully, a new show will take its crown, others have come and gone passing it along. Attack on Titan is now done, let's look forward to the next one.
