Review of [Oshi No Ko]
A majorly polished turd that became popular because of a really good first episode that was movie lenght as a PR stunt. Everything that happens after Aqua and Ruby grow up is either boring or infuriating, I almost couldn't believe just how punchable every single character aside from Ai was. Part of me wonders if this was done on purpose but like- no, the show wants me to at the very least care about what is happening during the episode...but I just hated it and din't care. There are two halves of this story, the Aqua story of him trying to find his father and (presumed) killerof Ai and the Ruby story that I think is gonna turn darker eventually but for for this season it was basically just cute girls doing cute things.
Typically I enjoy CGDCT but holy shit those three are such annoying cunts. I couldn't stand Ruby from the start, Kana became unbearable when she showed up again and Mem-cho is such a chore to follow. They are so damn unlikeable on their own and when put together I wanted to drop it right there and then. Ultimately I powered through though because of one reason and one reason only, Ai.
I only care about one thing, who killed Ai? So what if all the "entertainment world is...le bad" shit is boring, eventually the story is finally gonna focus again on the one character that I actually care about, that's what Aqua's story is all about after all...right?...NOPE.
A waste of time. Watching this truly felt like a waste of my damn time. I don't give a shit about Akane, I don't want to have ANOTHER romance subplot going on right now when there is something much more interesting right around the corner.
Originally I was planning to binge season 2 as well and then just leave a review there but hellllll nawwww I'm not gonna waste my time on this any longer.
