It's been a long while since I've felt like writing a review about an anime, but this one just had me close to tears so I had to. I dropped this story a couple of times before I could finish it because I'm very weak to sad stories and I was a bit weary. If you're like me and are afraid to get hurt by sadness by the end of a story, you can relax and go into Kakushigoto with no worries, it's not that type of story. If you're looking for something that's not just an empty story, with enough emotional fulfillment and charismatic characters, butit's also a light-comedy slice of life about a mangaka single dad raising his daughter, this is it. This isn't a masterpiece, but the one thing I can easily guarantee you is that by the end of it you'll feel like you didn't waste your time, because it's a sweet and good story with a message by the end of it.

This story is told in two timelines, the present and the past, being the past the one with the main focus. This is a light-hearted and slightly emotional slice-of-life comedy about different types of love and relationships, about doing what you love, even if you have to keep a secret, and the love and respect between parents and children, coworkers and friends.

Hope you'll give it a try, the same as I did, I wasn't disappointed and I'm sure you won't be either!
