Review of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc
- German translation below - Story/tempo 20 % 7/10 The story is very similar to the basic idea of the second season. The story is good but only forms the basis for what is to be conveyed visually. Despite the good story and very good pacing, in which both calm and fast-paced moments arise, at the end you have the feeling that you have hardly made any progress. Like the second season, the season feels more like a visually bombastic movie. Unfortunately, as the anime progresses during the fights, you keep noticing that fights that are supposedly won are not won after all and continue. Unfortunately,this happens so often that it's already predictable.
Animation 30 % 10/10
Absolute top. Once again, the anime has outdone itself, the fight scenes are an absolute masterpiece in terms of animation.
Character depth 15 % 6.5/10
Although you get to know the individual characters better here too, the unnecessary addition of ecchi elements shouldn't have been necessary in my opinion, as the anime has managed perfectly well without them so far.
Worldbuilding 20 % 8.5/10
In the anime, the old age meets the industrial age, and the scenes shown in this season are particularly well staged due to the urban lighting. Despite the limited setting, there is a lot of visual variety here.

Like the second season, the anime is once again at an absolutely top level. The musical interludes are superb and are precisely coordinated and appropriately staged.

The story is okay, the music is once again very good and the animation is bombastic. As far as the pure action is concerned, your jaw will drop. Nevertheless, it has to be said that after the second season it feels rather unsatisfactory to hardly make any progress in the actual story. The addition of ecchi elements was also unnecessary in my opinion.

Die Story ähnelt von der Grundidee der zweiten Staffel stark. Die Story ist gut aber bildet nur die Grundlage für das was visuell vermittelt werden soll. Trotz der guten Story und sehr gutem Pacing, in dem sowohl ruhige als auch rasante Momente entstehen, hat man am Ende eher das Gefühl kaum voran gekommen zu sein. Die Staffel wirkt wie die zweite Staffel auch, eher nur wie ein visuell bombastischer Kinofilm. Leider fällt einem im Laufe des Animes während den Kämpfen auch immer wieder auf, dass vermeintlich gewonnene Kämpfe doch nicht gewonnen sind und weiter gehen. Das passiert leider inzwischen so oft, dass es sich schon vorhersagen lasst.

Absolute Spitze. Auch hier wieder hat sich der Anime selbst übertroffen, die Kampfszenen sind animationstechnisch ein absolutes Meisterwerk.
Charaktertiefe 15 % 6.5/10
Zwar lernt man auch hier wieder die einzelnen Charaktere besser kennen, aber das unnötige hinzufügen von Ecchi Elementen hätte meiner Meinung nach nicht sein müssen, da der Anime bisher auch super ohne damit ausgekommen ist.
Worldbuilding 20 % 8.5/10
Im Anime trifft das alte Zeitalter mit dem Industriellen Zeitalter zusammen, die in dieser Staffel gezeigten Szenen werden aufgrund der städtischen Beleuchtung besonders gut in Szene gesetzt. Trotz des eingeschränkten Settings, gibt es hier viel visuelle Abwechslung.
Musik / Sounddesign 10 % 9.5/10
Wie die zweite Staffel auch befindet sich hier der Anime wieder auf einem absoluten Spitzenniveau. Die Musikeinlagen sind super getroffen und werden genau abgestimmt und passend in Szene gesetzt.
Gesamteindruck 5 % 8.5/10
Die Story ist okay, Musik wieder sehr gut und die Animationen bombastisch. Was die reine Action angeht, fällt einem hier die Kinnlade runter. Trotzdem muss man festhalten, dass es sich nach der zweiten Staffel nun wieder eher unbefriedigend anfühlt kaum in der eigentlichen Story voranzukommen. Auch das hinzufügen von Ecchi Elementen war meiner Meinung nach unnötig.
