*Spoilers* It was such a good concept for a show. As if the matrix was not just a place to house humans, but for cyborgs to play with as well. And they were doing such a good job with it as well. The chemistry between the two leads was fantastic, the themes were well presented, the action was fun to watch, and then came the final act of the show. What is the point of taking the fight to "the system" if you're just going to have that very system let you get away with everything you do scot free? What's the point in settingup this huge divide between how tankers see the humans only for it to get glossed over in the final episode? What's the point of setting up such an important moment when Natsume finally learns the truth, only for her eventual resolution with that truth to be so underwhelming? What is the point of Deca-Dence in the first place?

This doesn't take away from the first two-thirds of the show, which I consider to be some of the best stuff in anime that I've seen in a while, but never before have I seen such high stakes resolve with such a big copout. It's disappointing, but not disappointing enough for me to regret watching this show. SO you could say that my feelings are mixed.
