Review of Redo of Healer

First of all, this being called a hentai is plain wrong. The sex scenes have neither the length nor the details needed to be considered even close to porn. You wont find more than 2-3 scenes that can work even as inspiration for doujins. Most scenes have unappealing setting/setup and focus on deviancy instead of eroticism. And no, it's not even done to cater to a fetish, instead it is clearly done just to provoke controversy and draw publicity and attention to the show. It succeeded in that goal, but at the cost of distracting from and devaluing the rest of the plot. The characters areall very badly designed, inconsistent and make no sense. The bad guys are all seemingly suffering from various mental illnesses that make them irrational deviants, but inexplicably manage to blend in society and keep up appearances and perform their functions of nobles or heroes. The MC swings between a madman and a hero of justice, a plotting schemer and a heartbroken crybaby and none of it seems real enough to make the audience care. He has godlike power but fails to (or purposely doesn't want to, it's not clear) act in time over and over. The first FMC has her personality literally erased and reprogrammed multiple times throughout the show, completely taking her out of the running for a relatable character. Or any kind of character really, instead of just a mindless doll. And it's not directly addressed in the show, but his other companions must've eventually figured her fate out and still don't seem to mind it. Another FMCs is spared this literal mind manipulation but falls victim to an aphrodisiac, so the result is just as boring and pointless. Another FMC managed to rise up to a powerful position in MC's previous life but now inexplicably needs his protection before he changed anything regarding her. Then we have a verbatim repeat of the first one, oh so interesting!

There are some hints and ideas for an interesting plot and potential here and there, but it's buried under a ton of crap.
