Review of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead

The show starts off with a masterpiece episode. Episode was so good that rest of the show failed to meet its standard in my opinion. Production value of the show is pretty good for an anime, with the 1st episode being the best produced. But after the 1st episode I lost a bit interested in the story. The story is mixed in my opinion. The 1st episode made me think I would get a 10/10 story, but that was not the case. Parts of the story is very good and other parts not so much. I liked the core plot, that tied into the 1stepisode, of an exploited salaryman faced with apocalypse. Akira has seen Zombie movies so he knows you need to be armed to confront the zombies. He should know that. But most of the time he seemed to confront them with bare hands.

But the show is tonally off for a Zombie movie. That was an intentional choice by the creators of course. Its almost as if many of the characters were downplaying the threat presented by this apocalyptic world. Also the blood splattered is colorful sometimes? What's up with that art choice? Is it for the censorship board of China? Some of the story and dialogues did not go that well with me. But Overall its still very good show but my ideal Zombie show is The Walking Dead and this falls short.
