After finishing the last episode, I have one word to describe this anime, "realistic." Step Siblings in Anime has only been explored partially across the years. Some titles could be considered decent, some just out of taste. This series in particular is the most realistic with how real-life step-siblings are supposed to be. It is immediately known from the first few episodes the main characters have their own set of differing views and thoughts. This is a good way to begin the series, we know right off the bat who we are dealing with. To my surprise, the whole anime plays off normally. Both of them go to school like anyother student, interact with other people, get part-time jobs, etc. Plus there is a lot of well, conflict, inner development, etc.
An Anime that can properly portray how life is supposed to be with actual step-siblings with parents around.
That by itself is an accomplishment, with a set of differing characters offering their thoughts and values to the main characters.

I am willing to tolerate the "slow" pacing as in exchange, we are getting a very modern take on how step-siblings go about their living.
