The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio · review
This is an interesting show. I can't speak to its accuracy so I'll avoid that subject. While I recommend it's worth knowing I usually hate shows about the anime or VA industry (no, I don't know why either, but I do). The focus of the show is about the two protagonists who essentially get lumped together because they go to the same school, despite bieng completely different. They're careers get tied together and this only increases as time goes on. They openly hate eachother and consider eachother rivals, yet they're both good people who value the others talent. That is essentially the basis for everything thathappens in the plot.
Frankly, it works extremely well. The rival nature really makes everything wonderfully complex and the narrative extremely compelling, with one exception. Yuuhi's mum is aweful, like unacceptably aweful. Anything more would be a spoiler but there is an arc that frankly borders on the absurd. This is minor and leads into the compelling last arc, which mostly takes up the entire last half of the anime, but it is there for a couple of episodes and really annoyed me as she was totally irrational (although for a good reason).
It's hard to recommend this for a specific audience, which is an issue. I don't know who their target is other than maybe people looking for a small Oshi No Ko fix. It is kinda funny, definitely hartwarming and enjoyable, but you have to just give it a shot without knowing if you're the target market. Still, I recommend it.
