Review of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

I thought season one of the show was bad, I thought season two awful so I thought I was going to hate this movie. But honestly this has to be one of the greatest anime movies I’ve ever seen. It is a little slow in the beginning with Kyon just freaking out yelling for Haruhi but it soon picks up once he “gets” what’s going on. The animation got a HUGE upgrade compared to the show, Nagato is more interesting in five minutes in this movie than she is in the whole two season of the show and the “butterfly effect” plot that the movieruns with has a lot more depth and structure and not so much the predictable “keep this bitch happy or we all die” they ran with for the show.
