Review of The Secret World of Arrietty

The Secret World of Arrietty is an adaptation of The Borrowers. I do not particularly like The Borrowers and I do not like the sort of story told by this movie. I always preferred Road Dahl's The Minpins to this story. I am not interested in Arrietty or the boy with cancer. Little people sneaking around houses is a story better told in Home Alone 2 than here. The setting of a house outside of the city is too limiting because there are only so many rooms and nooks and crannies to explore. The aunt that traps the little people is a character archetype thatannoys me very much.
Instead of watching a boring Borrowers movie, read The Minpins instead.
