Doraemon (2005) · review
Doraemon has been my childhood throughout the years and it's quite nice to remake the series to change the artstyle to a more Fujiko Fujio artstyle, restricting some of the bad stuff kids might get involved, etc. **STORY** - 8/10 The story is pretty simple. Nobita is a very lazy student. Doraemon shows up, and helps Nobita anything. Trying to stand up for Gian and Suneo, trying to impress Shizuka, trying to improve his grades, and sometimes just for fun. But usually ends up him to fail. Then it just goes like that for mostly every single episode. It's a slice-of-life anime, it's not that deep. **ART** -9/10
I adored this art because it's simple but charming. The animation is also pretty simple, but it's sometimes a bit choppy.
**SOUND** - 8/10
Well...the voice actors changed, but I don't blame them, since they worked hard enough. The sound effects are great, nothing else to say about it. The opening songs are great, but the Yume Wo Kanaete song is a bit overused, my favorite song is "Doraemon" by Gen Hoshino.
**CHARACTERS** - 7/10
They don't feel unique, but considering the manga started in 1969, i'll give it a pass. Some other characters are unique, some are not. They're simple. Just as it is.
**ENJOYMENT** - 10/10
While there are flaws, I really enjoy the episodes, no matter how repetitive they are. I like how everytime Doraemon's gadgets are mostly different!
**OVERALL** - 10/10
My beloved childhood. Give this a chance, it's sometimes pretty funny.
