Review of Koi Kaze

This anime is one of the worst I've ever seen. It provides us with a story about a dude who is sexually attracted to his clearly underage sister, and it follows their relationship of living together after being apart for so many years. I really don't mind that the story takes on taboo themes, the only problem is that it does a terrible job with them. The characters start out fine. Koshiro, the older brother, is lonely and still living with his dad and he hasn't accomplished much with his life. Nanoka, the underage little sister, is bright, cheerful, and wants to spend time withher older brother after being reunited with him after so long. The father is old and is completely oblivious to what is going on between them, and so they start to spend time with each other and the lonely older brother begins to have feelings for his underage little sister. First off this is gross and cringey, a great way to push your audience away. And then the little sister, who is obviously confused about how to handle the hormonal changes in her body, begins to return his feelings!

Anyways, it doesn't end well and all I could think was that I regretted my decision to watch this anime. We see this man spiral down into disaster and making terrible decisions the entire time and he suffers zero consequences from them. It's just absolutely unbelievable. The only positive scene from the entire series is that his co worker figures out what's going on and she lets him know what a horrible thing he's doing. Finally some consequences but that is literally the extent of his consequences. The reason why incest and pedophilia are taboo is because they will lead individuals and society into literal disaster. It was unbelievable how the movie was almost celebrating their relationship. Just garbage.

If you are thinking about watching this because you're like me and you saw that quite a few people have favorited it, then don't because I saw it for you and can tell you the moral of the story: don't raise your sons to be unsocialized and incompetent freaks and don't raise your daughters to not be weary of unsocialized and incompetent freak men. But seriously it's disgusting so do yourself a favor and don't watch it.
