Review of KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3
As a big fan of the Konosuba series so far, my only real complaint was that this season wasn't longer. The characters we've grown to love continue their whacky shenanigans. While some would criticise this as more of the same (and that wouldn't even be bad), Season 3 pushes forward the narrative quite a bit. Actions by the party in previous seasons, mainly by Aqua, have their consequences play out in humourous and dramatic ways. Funnily enough, many events that are played for gags and seen as unimportant end up driving a lot of the plot. This attention to detail in the story is reallysatisfying, perhaps even more so as Konosuba is not usually presented as a "serious" fantasy world.
This season really doesn't pull punches when it comes to it's emotional scenes, with Kazuma being part of many serious moments. While ruining many said moments, Kazuma's multifaceted personality often shines through and exposes the core of someone who truly cares about those around him.
Ultimately, if you enjoyed the previous Konosuba seasons, you will enjoy this one. Let's just hope the next season isn't another 7 years away!
