I absolutely loved this anime, as obvious by the rating. I was hooked from episode one. The best way I could overall describe it is a straight up acid trip. The animation is sort of a cleaned up 3D but 3D nonetheless which had me briefly alarmed. But, surprisingly, something about that clicked perfectly with the surreal and action-packed, gore filled rabbit hole this took me down. There’s no good guy or bad guy here, really. You can categorize them if you’d like. But really, it’s just characters with their own goals in mind and the willingness they have to succeed. The colors and animationas a whole were stunning and vibrant. Most scenes truly took my breath away and hyped me up for another episode at the same time. Regardless of the characters, rather it be a human or a magic user, I feel it will be hard for you to only like one. They are all so lovable with their own quirks and characteristics that make you feel attached to them almost right then and there. Also, as a warning, this is listed on Netflix as having 13 episodes but the last episode is technically an OVA. But with it only being 12 episodes long, if you find yourself trying to find something to occupy your time, I strongly suggest giving Dorohedoro a shot!
