Rebel Hero: I Will Use My Skills to Control the Scheming Princess's Heart and Body · review
7.1/10 Wait. A. F*cking. Minute. This isn’t actually horrible, and I’m just at a loss for words because I truly expected this to be nothing but brain-numbing trash. Excusing the first three or so chapters, because that was truly cliche and edgy, the story takes on a much more cohesive and reasonable development that is somewhat interesting. The plot is relatively unique comparing it to the usual hero-summoning stories, and the fan-service is about as unnecessary as it gets, but for an erotica, the story isn’t overwhelmed by the amount of perverted scenes/actions by the mc. The mc also isn’t handed the literal keys to the worldin the first chapter, and he does undergo some sophisticated thinking to survive, which is some rare stuff nowadays for an erotica. Putting that bar aside, the story is genuinely interesting due to the limitations of the mc, and the humor that is used occasionally for some satisfying revenge.
I’m writing this review the day after I read this story and my brain is truly fried, so it’s not the most comprehensive review out there for a story, but just know that this isn’t brain numbing trash — well, after the first three chapters it isn’t. Tolerate that, and you might have something interesting on your hands.
