The Gwichon Village Mystery · review
The manga starts off really strong with a promising premise and a creepy atmosphere that immediately hooks you in. The artwork is solid, and the initial mystery is intriguing. But, it kinda drops the ball as the story progresses and some of the twists become predictable, with the pacing feeling a bit weird at times. While the main character, Mumyeong Heo is interesting, some of the supporting characters could definitely use some more development. Since it is still only 20 odd chapters in, there is still plenty of time for us to see some development.(hopefully) That being said, The Gwichon Village Mystery is still anenjoyable read for anyone who is a fan of the thriller genre. It's a quick and engaging story that will for sure keep you entertained, even if it doesn't completely blow you away.
