Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai, also known as The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter in English, was initially written as a light novel by Yatsuki Wakatsu and later adapted into a manga. It serves as an excellent firsthand experience and example of the world of Isekai and BL that delves into intricate themes of reliance on others for essential daily tasks, embracing and acknowledging self-reflection through experiences, personal challenges, and support and feedback of others, while also highlighting the simple acts of joy that exist beyond the confines of work life. The story centers on a young man who feels overwhelmed bythe increasing workload, despite not being recognized as a potential candidate for the department head position. When he tries to rescue a young woman who has fallen into the ground, he finds himself transported to another world. Despite being summoned into an unfamiliar world, when asked if he needed anything in return for his summoning, he requested a job. Later, as he meets his new coworkers and receives a tour of the workplace, he waits outside the palace for his first day of work. It is then that he is approached by the enigmatic "Ice Prince".
In the end, Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai offers a refreshing perspective and take on the Isekai and BL genres by intertwining themes of personal growth and the importance of seeking support from others, while also emphasizing the importance and need to enjoy life beyond working.
