She and I's End Roll · review
It is always nice to read Sasuga Kei's stories. They are easy to read, light, enjoyable... But precisely because they are light, they deal poorly with serious or darker topics. Sasuga Kei often throws in archs involving prostitution, drugs, eating disorders, bullying... and they end up being so superfluous that feels like a waste. Pure filling. And here we have a story revolving around a girl who wants to commit suicide and finds a partner to help her with it. Truth be told, this one-shot is enjoyable and it could develop into a classic Sasuga Kei romantic story that I would devour happily. However, judging bythe precedents seen in Good Ending and Domestic na Kanojo when it comes to sensitive topics, I can't help but to think that if "Kanojo to boku no end roll" becomes a serialized manga it will go south real quick.
