Isekai ni Teni shitara Yama no Naka datta. Handou de Tsuyosa yori mo Kaitekisa wo Erabimashita. · review
Its a pretty chill manga. Plot MC gets "accidentally" Isekai-ed when his sister and her two friends were summoned as heroes. MC hates his sister (she's a bully), and she doesn't know that her brother is also Isekai-ed. When gods wish to grant him abilities as compensation for accidentally summoning him, MC decides to request powers that will provide him with a comfortable life and also stay away from his sister. As with most such Isekai, this is where the hook ends and it starts becoming the routine story that we are all familiar with. Review I love slow life Isekai, so my review might be a bitbiased.
The story follows the usual path of MC introducing modern/japanese inventions to middle ages. eg: bathtub, food recipes, soap
So, its *really really* generic. You can "feel" the lack of creativity, which is normal for most isekai series. There's some decent funny moments, especially with "spirits"/"gods".
MC is the average kirito clone. He is OP from all the help with gods. He literally gets "guidebooks" written by gods themselves to increase his knowledge. He does the usual, "I am gonna hide my abilities to avoid attention" shtick but accidentally reveals them to his friends and also secretly helps random people.. because... generic MC gonna do generic MC things.
For the first 22 chapters, I still love reading the series. Yes, its pure wish fulfillment where MC gets *everything* he could ask for.
But its also pretty chill most of the time. You are always seeing MC try to live comfortably, whether that involves growing japanese vegetables for recipes or taking a bath or playing with a pet etc..
This kind of series relaxes me, so I am giving it a decent rating. If you are not into this genre, you won't find any redeeming qualities for this series.
