The premise of "Ibara no Shokutaku" is simple, an editorial worker with disordered eating and food-orientated problems inevitably ends working on a cookbook with a chef who manages to help him overcome the first hurdles of his fears. Whilst the plot isn't groundbreaking it doesn't need to be, and the story actually benefits from being easy to digest. Although the pacing is extremely quick and I would have liked more time to be given to the characters to be fleshed out, it's understandable considering it is condensed into one volume. The art is easy to look at and the characters work well together, and Iespecially adored how they managed to develop their relationships from from start to finish - I really just wish there was more time for them.

Despite this, I would recommend this manga to anyone who wants an easy-read of a story. It's cute, and you'll definitely find yourself fond of the characters, they truly are terribly cute (and the bonus chapter is extra sweet ! don't forget it).
