The Goddess of Healing · review
I started reading this due to my love for the Apothecary Diaries and this truly doesn't disappoint. It's a story filled with premonition, fighting against the grain for long term social change and romance. The themes of medicine and intelligent, outspoken female leads with a nobleman chasing after them is very reminiscent of TAD and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something similar. The thing I love most about the series is how it balances the drama and happy moments for the characters. It's got great pacing between conflict arcs to introduce hope and success, but repeats the cycle really effectively so it doesn'tfeel like too conflict-filled or too a too-easily earned happy-ever-after.
The art is lovely and grows with the story with the artist's experience and the political drama is really immersive and the majority of the time, easy to follow. Don't worry though, the main theme is absolutely fighting for their romance and their relationship.
I just finished the series with a huge smile on my face and a fluttering in my chest. ahhh I love it.
