The sole reason this novel should be read is probably for the FMC's scheming and nothing else. The comedy aspect is okay, but the romance is really underwhelming. Even though the plot revolves around that, it failed to make my heart move even on the ending which should be seen as quite happy (for some characters). If you ask me why, that is probably due to the MC, which becomes an insufferable mess past volume one. They managed to strip off the little the MC had for a personality in the first volume, and turned him into a bland, indecisive pushover. This weakens the romance considerablyconsidering it was hard to even fathom how three girls could fall in love with such a nice guy™. The fact that he is even less developed than the girl introduced in the second volume fails to make the reader immersed in the romance, since one party is so lame.

As I said, the FMC's tactics are fun to read, though she was written to have way more means than her rivals. Do not go in expecting actual mind games or suspense.

The other girl is likeable. I like how they gave her a POV after the first volume, highlighting the gap between her appearance and thoughts. That said, her awkwardness was somewhat irritating, though it gets better after her arc.

Finally, the third girl was quite hateful at first, but the author did a great job at making her relatable throughout her arc. That was a pleasant surprise.

To summarise, this novel contains a pretty lame MC, as well as a relatively shallow plot and romance. However, the cat fights and the involved parties' strategies are somewhat entertaining, and the story has a proper conclusion while only spanning three short volumes.

If you are looking for something deep and compelling, or feel like stopping already throughout the first volume, you should probably drop this novel. Nevertheless, if you have time for a quick rom-com based on a silly premise, while still having the experience of a proper full story, be my guest.
