Review of Recovery of an MMO Junkie
Slightly predictable plotline and not much true conflict, aside from internal anxiety against the world/society. I enjoy watching animes about living in an alternative virtual world (think SAO, Is it Okay to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon, Accel World, etc). I think the anime serves its purpose for those kinds of fans and those who like romance. I'm not sure how well such a simple plot was dragged out 10 episodes (even though 10 is short). I enjoyed the story though and was very engaged until the episode Hayashi/MoriMori-chan had her big "transformation". I'm not so sure if this is a good introductory animeto romance but it sure is a good fan one. The story also has an interesting art style, something about it has a much simpler style than some of the more recent animes. The art style is unique like "Say I love you" in which it follows the style rules (unlike Attack on Titan, IMO). The characters have really interesting eyes, they're more square than circular.
