Hinata: "Yeah, it's like... motion!" Mari: "I feel like my youth is in motion" A Place Further than the Universe, a true-to-life Antarctic adventure with a group of high school girls. This easily makes me question whether watching anime instead of travelling at my current age; Alas, watching it rather than participating in it would no doubt be more budget-effective in the long term. Very entertaining series, binged so fast :o Story: 7/10 This story line and the challenges are very satisfying when our group of main characters fight the hardships of travelling and real-life conflicts and jealousy involved with stepping out of ones comfort zone and experiencingthe real word. Especially at their young age, they're bound to encounter conflicts that hinder their goals including financial standing and the social status difference between all the main characters. Nonetheless, A Place Further than the Universe displays amazing story telling consistently till the end.

Art & Sound: 7/10
Exceptional art and animation throughout the series, no complaints as far as both art and animation go. VA were also exceptional, as expected in terms of quality.

Character: 9/10
Although the story places heavy attention to Shirase and Mari, we funnily aren't rushed into their encounter. That is what I enjoyed with this series, it somehow provides realistic interactions between characters and even more-so maintains their connection with a series of character development events. (e.g When all four main characters were practicing in a tent, Yuzu's belated birthday etc.) The character development unfolds satisfyingly yet maintains strict consistency in order to not force interactions that would have otherwise been drawn out content or rushed (as explained above). Overall, I'm pleased with the attention to character development in A Place Further than the Universe and wished many other adventure adaptations would replicate a similar structure : )

Enjoyment: 8/10
Despite not being a Slice of Life/Adventure type viewer myself, I was very interested this series had been well praised despite a smaller audience and I can see why, it has a wonderful story and realistic characters. The end goal is also realistic, despite being a trip to Antarctica but overall very entertaining.
