Review of Darwin's Game

Having finished Darwin's Game, my overall thoughts about the series is that it sort of redeems itself on the last anime episodes. First the visuals are good enough to start watching it and while there's not anything special about the original soundtrack the opening (CHAIN by ASCA) and ending (ALIVE by Mashiro Ayano) are worth of being added to your playlist. As for the characters, Kaname Sudou has to be the biggest Gary Stu of this season and it was quite the challenge to go episode after episode, but I have to say I liked the change he went through the final episodes of the anime. As forthe story is one of those battle royale/survival animes, some people and I sort of agree to compare it to SAO or Mirai Nikki, but it is just not as impactful as those were back then, and if anything, not better than those.

I'd say the anime is quite enjoyable if you like this kind of Gary Stu character whom girls fall for him almost for no reason, I myself sort of loved to hate the asspulls that happened episode after episode.

For better or worse, that's the reason why I finished this anime.
