Review of Mob Psycho 100 II

Despite the rushed ending (which is a legitimate problem imo), Mob Psycho 100 II pretty much hit and exceeded every mark I set when watching anime. Characters had great backstory which clearly showed their development as the story went on. Animation was fantastic, being maybe the best animated show produced by Studio Bones. Soundtrack isn't anything I would listen to in my spare time, but fit the mood extremely well, maybe better than music from anime I would listen to in my spare time. More to the point, the story completely differentiates itself from season 1, changing from a story about who Mob is intoa story about who Mob is becoming, and this kept things from feeling stale, despite a slow start (something that was mirrored from the first season.) You also have to admire how different the show is from other anime, deconstructing many of the tropes in the genre and pointing out their flaws. This makes the show a great watch for first time anime viewers, and a fantastic one for anime veterans. I would definitely recommend Mob Psycho in its entirety to anyone who watches anime. Edit: Now that the 3rd season is out, this season is essentially perfect. Absolutely watch it.
