Review of Parasyte: The Maxim

*NO SPOILERS* [Story 9/10] The story is great. Starts off kinda confusing, but easily catchy. The story continues as good as it starts and there are no boring episodes like other anime. In every episode the story is fluid and enjoyable. [Art 7/10] The art lacks colors. But I can't count it as a bad thing because the intention of the creator was to create characters with more realistic features. [Sound 9/10] The sound is beautiful. Starting from simple sound effects to the opening and ending, they're so beautifully composed you can't stop listening to them. They are really catchy. I give it a 9 mostly for theopening, which is my all-time favorite anime opening.

[Character 9/10]
The characters are even greater than the Sound. Main character, Shinichi, is one of the coolest anime characters I've ever seen. Every character adds his/her part on the story, each one of them plays a role in the main story, and interaction with the protagonist feels so natural and un-forced. The connection between the protagonist and the other characters is so good, you'll really end up asking for more after every episode ends.

[Enjoyment 8/10]
It's easily one of the most enjoyable anime I've ever seen. Every episode has its new features and new things added to the story. Everything is explained or shown so well, it's simply enjoyable. The main reason I didn't give Enjoyment a 9/10 is because some people might not enjoy the gore in it. The scenes are pretty graphic, but trust me, you have to give it a try!

A complete anime.
A unique anime combining elements like Action, Sci-fi, Horror, Psychological, Drama and seinen. All elements work so well with each other, a simple masterpiece.
It has simply accomplished everything it has aimed for, doing way more, adding even elements like Philosophical, romance and much more.
I think it's a MUST WATCH even for non-anime fans.
