Review of Parasyte: The Maxim

Entertaining with a sense of depth. Also with a year in which it was made it held up in relevance. I would say that the beginning 10 episodes definitely held me in a clutch. I was thoroughly entertained and curious about what it was going to happen. But in all honesty, any depth at which this anime aimed at, went over my head as I took these episode as a break between my study sessions in animedoro sort of a thing. I did not want to think but relax my mind with it and at some point I believe it required higher engagement from my side. There seemsto be some depth regarding our lives as humans within a larger ecosystem; that we are just a part of it and not necessarily the peak of creation. It also raises interesting points about co-existing with creations that assume the role of predators to us, and how we both grow from these attempts at co-existence.

I think it warrants a watch for sure for any new viewer but also a rewatch from me.
