well, we've done it. we've hit the point of the powerscaling curve where we've abstracted away the game of tennis from the games of tennis they're playing on-screen. it's purely metaphysical now. it's gotten so bad that I don't actually know what the German players' techniques are. we've passed the so stupid its good part of the show and now we're on the part of the show where they aren't even trying anymore and it just feels insulting. i dont even really understand what happened from like, a scoring perspective in some of the matches. none of the wins or losses felt weighty. i wouldnthave believed any of them were over if not for the ref calling game set and match.

to make it worse, none of the interesting players I liked even played this season. How was the writers' answer to who gets to play Tezuka in what was probably the most hyped match of the entire pot2 arc Yukimura? I had to suffer through this abstract mockery without even getting to enjoy the characters who were playing? this is so stupid. can't wait for the finals
