This was okay. It's another stereotypical HS romance, where the formula is laid out right in front of you and every single turn is predictable. It consisted of all your usual clichés, and contained nothing that would set it above the rest in this genre. STORY To continue what I was saying, this story falls very flat. It's so painfully predictable. Down to the rivals, headstrong second ML, dense AF ML, airhead FL, side characters that mean nothing and eventually just disappear etc. I do like the premise of a FL who likes old coffee shops (as someone who loves antique and vintage things myself) butit's still not enough.

Again, the story follows all the same tropes as the next shoujo romance. There's really not much else to say about this story, and it will be nothing you haven't seen before.

The romance itself is meh. Lots of missed opportunities when compared to others of the same genre (Horimiya comes to mind)

CHARACTERS
This is really where the story gets a low rating for me. The characters are surface level at best, they lack any real depth. The reader doesn't know much at all about the main characters other than their coffee preference. They mirror pretty much every other FL, ML, and second ML out there. We don't really see much of their family members, side characters, back story...

It's a good example where I find myself siding with the love rivals LOL, which rarely happens. I honestly think our girl would be better off with second ML. Even though he can be a bit too much at times, at least he's straight forward and honest with everyone (and not afraid to express his love & feelings about FL). Main ML is extremely dense, and if it weren't for second ML, his relationship with FL would be nonexistent. It's like he needs his feelings of jealousy towards them to make any moves. That, to me, is a poor quality. I feel their relationship going forward would be riddled in misunderstanding, poor communication etc.

There's a quote I remember where FL says to herself something like, "yeah I do love ML. But second ML has given me uncountable happiness, he gives me so much that it overflows from my hands..." but then goes on to say she doesn't want to reject him because it will hurt him...but then admits to herself she loves him too...then tells him she DID like him?? All in the same breath. This surprised me because it wasn't obvious at all that she felt anything towards second ML.

ML's jealousy is annoying AF. He seriously gets angry that second ML is pulling moves all the while sitting back idling and letting his negative vibes rub off on FL so she thinks she did something wrong or his anger is directed at her. He's mad he can't muster the courage to tell this girl who clearly likes him that he feels the same. Honestly even FL's jealousy is a red flag too. If ML is approached, or speaks with or interacts with any female at all she gets upset and mopes about it.

ART
The art is very similar to Horimiya. I honestly thought I was reading a Horimiya alternative storyline at times. There were many cute panels though.

Overall a "so so" review from me. It's just nothing new or different. That being said, if you like shoujo romance you might want to take a peek. Just keep in mind the things I mentioned - there are better titles out there to get your romance fix.
