Review of Monster
So first let me start off by saying this is no doubt a masterpiece If you are looking for a protagonist and an anime where the good guys always win then, please look elsewhere. (No spoilers) I have watched monster 2 times and both times have left an outstanding expression and feeling. 3 years ago where I was first getting into anime and i really didn't know what to watch so i let the stroll of ratings take me ahead on my anime journey. I think it was about 2 years ago and i had just finished death note as the third anime of my journey.I looked at similar animes and stumbled upon monster.
As you might have read monster starts off with a good pace, where in the first few episodes we are captivated by the rights and wrongs of peoples actions. Where dr. Tenma is representing the good and Johan the bad. Then we are thrown into a chaotic world where good and bad don't exist. Because of the wave of evil and horror, one can experience and the way a single person can affect a thousand lives is exactly why this is a masterpiece.
you might have stumbled upon people giving this anime a bad rating. Where they think the story is too long. However, the 74 is needed and why? It creates a pathway where we might get to understand, why the terrible things are happening and, why the monster was created. The story also make the audience question who the real monster is. The character's backstory and the significant details of their backstory and connections give this story a huge impact on the audience. It questions whether good and bad people exist? Or whether society and bad people are creating these people. And the wave of horror that keeps stretching with only a few good people fighting against it.
There are a lot of characters and many details, however, trust me when I say this: IT IS NEEDED TO GIVE THE STORY A FULL MEANING AND THAT THE AUDIENCE CAN FEEL SYMPATHY FOR THE BAD AND GOOD GUYS.
