Review of Tokyo Revengers

This score was a tricky one to give.... In terms of the story itself, it was basic sure. Kind of reminded me of a mix of banana fish and erased put together, but even so I really enjoyed it and got addicted pretty quickly. I've been in an anime slump recently I think this show might've gotten me out of it. The gang fights had me sitting on the edge of my seat and at the end of every episode I was pretty excited for the next. One big flaw in the show however, is the first few episodes made it seem like the whole goalwas to save Hina but she ended up being not so relevant later and just kind of appeared sometimes???

Why a 7/10? Well I was actually debating giving it a 6 or 5 purely because I think Takemichi should doc this show AT LEAST two points. He was awful. But i'm sure that's not news to anyone else who's seen it. Takemichi reminds me of Koichi from Jojo and Yuki from Mirai Nikki combined, but worse???? He doesn't know when to shut up, cries when he fails his tasks and everything he accomplishes is pure luck combined with the fact everyone thinks he's a reliable guy for some reason....

The other characters on the other hand were great so at least there's that. Love Draken, Mikey, the gang and all, and the moral conflicts were fun. Of course the dope OP also brought up my score for the this because I mean...common....one of the best OPs i've listened to in ages.

I really do think the reason this show was so hard to rank was because I can't pinpoint EXACTLY what got me so addicted to watching it that I finished it in a day. the cliff hangers? My favourite characters? There are just so many emotions I feel for this show that it's hard to say.

My last few word before I end this off: If Takemichi was just the tiniest bit smarter and less annoying, I might've given it an 8/10
