Review of Kaguya-sama: Love is War -Ultra Romantic-
Kaguya-sama: Love is War - Ultra Romantic Another season of Love is War, just symbolizes another week of watching a well-rounded show. - Me. This season directly follows the second season and contains roughly a similar theme. Compared to season 1, this one is again a mixture of comedy and character drama, but a bit softer than the previous season. And here it's all or nothing, the theme of Love is War will finally reach its climax here and thus enclose the real name part of the story. This is just about the middle of the manga but at the same time the big twist in the story, whichyou had been waiting for since season 1.
To my relief, also ended here almost finally with the usual running gags of the 2 protagonists, whereby the humor has become more balanced. Even if the relationship war in the finale has not exactly been convincing, it has contributed well to the fact that I cringed.
[Story 3]
The plot finally takes the turn we've been waiting for at the end and develops further, whether for the better or worse we'll only find out in the next season. Most of the characters had to face their feelings and at the same time their fears, this was in the sense of the content.
[Characters 5]
There is nothing new to note here. The characters are still excellent at being inserted into every possible humorous scene and balance this well with their bizarre personalities.
As for background and depth, less happened here as well.
[Music 7 / Animations 8]
The intro still has a very similar style, but not the same quality as the previous 2. The outros are surprisingly interesting, even if I only understood half of the references. So this was a very amusing change of pace.
The Osts are still a tour de force and likewise the censored versions of the songs as well as "Take on Me" were delightful to discover.
[Conclusion 7]
Love is War is a very amusing romantic comedy, with many bizarre character traits. It is immensely simple in concept, but all the more the author has put all his creativity into it.
Could Love is War have been better? There was a lot of room for improvement and I think it's a shame that the Show didn't come up with much of its own and just tried to adapt the existing scenarios as best as possible. With a more creative setting, this series could have been even better.
However, it was enough to entertain and convince me, so far that I can see Love is War as one of the best RomCom series I have ever found. Especially thanks to the fact that it didn't take itself seriously.
