Review of Lazarus

The only painkiller stronger than Hapna is watching this show. I feel nothing strongly about it either way. Not a bad way to spend time but there's probably better ways to do it. I enjoyed some of the action sequences, but the only one that sticks out to me doesn't involve any of the main characters. The animation takes a noticeable step up in that fight, as does the choreography. The show implies the characters come together as a team, but I'm not sure I ever saw that happen on screen. Even after some of the background episodes for a particular character, I'm not sure Iknew them or their motivations that well. Some redditors asked where the background episode was for a particular character. We got it, there just wasn't enough there. But that was my experience with all the backstories, you see them happen, but you don't feel them. I don't see how those stories connect to the personality of any of the characters today, they could happen to anyone. Of course, that may have less to do with the backstory and more to do with the characters lacking strong personalities.

Maybe the next show I watch will raise my emotions from the dead.
