Similar to Horimiya, a lot of the drama surrounding the main character is stuff that occurred off screen and in the past, so the show is more so the aftermath of a character whose spent their whole life in darkness and solitude finally finding friends and discovering the will to live. It's very uplifting to see her find a place of belonging, but I wish I was able to go on the actual journey with her. I felt really disconnected with the rest of the cast and didn't entirely understand why they all became friends in the first place. The love interest is also sortawhatever and I don't really think there was a whole lot of chemistry between the two of them throughout the show. The animation is really good, and the opening and ending themes are both fantastic! Would honestly recommend the show just so you could listen to those! It was fine, but I'm just constantly wishing for high school rom-dram-com shows where you spend time with, learn about, and end up caring about EVERY character. Its happened in the past and those shows went on to be some of my all time favorites. So it's always sort of a let down when there are so many characters that really only feel like filler and I don't ever get any proper time with. Overall, it was fine. A cute lil rom com to hold me over until Skip and Loafer Season 2 comes out.

7/10
