This review reflects on both season one and two. A very surprisingly, both funny and educational anime of farming in Hokkaido, Japan, from the creator of Silver Spoon and Fullmetal Alchemist and many more. We'll get to know the manga author, who tells real life stories, or memoirs, of her time as a farmers kid in rural Japan before she went to pursue her manga career. Like brown bears or other animals attacking or destroying the crops. This is basically what this series is all about. Just some good old plain but funny short real life story telling moments of a manga creators youth and experience. Animationwise, there are some still shots and not that high quality animation in this series but don't let that scare you off. The cow, being the author, is very cute and her entire family is portrayed as cows and the animals, farming equipment and nature is very well drawn and animated. Quite surprised by this to be honest.
Sound wise, I found the yelling of the characters funny and enjoyable since it's not high pitched and doesn't make you want to cover you ears. Despite being story telling, the talk and explaining went very quickly but the voice acting was still very good.

Overall, these both seasons are very short, only a few minutes each episode and I honestly wish it was at least twice the lenght. I truly enjoyed the facial expressions, the actions of the characters and just the series being very informative and giving a lot of information on farming in Hokkaido. It also was very educational, despite me not knowing almost anything about farming. Please give this short series a try if you enjoy comedy and educational anime with good story telling of real life and issues of farming in Hokkaido and possible other places as well.
A very well deserved 8/10 on both seasons and we already received the info of a third season on it's way. What a joyous day.
